Tyler Cowen [pictured] won the New Jersey state chess championship in 1977. I can't remember the exact year, but sometime around 1980 I defeated Cowen in an unrated game from the North Jersey Chess League.
I still recall the moves because, all told, approximately half a dozen players fell into the same trap after 19.Bf2?? Rxf2!! instead of the correct 19.Kb1 or 19.Qd4.
