The Marshall Chess Club proudly presents “Lessons with a Grandmaster”, a talk and book-signing by grandmaster Boris Gulko and Dr. Joel Sneed. Grandmaster Boris Gulko is a living chess legend. The only person to win both the USSR and U.S. Championships, he is one of the few players with a positive record (including three victories) against former world champion Garry Kasparov.
Dr. Joel Sneed is a Marshall Chess Club member and GM Gulko's student. During the last year his rating improved from 1613 to 1825 USCF. Joel teaches psychology at Queens College and Columbia University.
