A week ago, in the Viking Last Saturday Quads at the Ramada Somerset, Ziping Liu tied for first place in quad three with a score of 2-1-0.
In the following game, Black should have played 12...Ne8 or 12...h6 because, after 12...Ng4 13.cxd6 cxd6, White could have simply retreated with 14.Bd2.
Instead of 20...Kh8, it would have been better to try 20...Rab8 21.Rxf8+ Rxf8 22.Qxb7 Qxb7 23.Bxb7 Bh6 when Black is okay.
After the game continuation, White erred with 23.e7, rather than 23.Rxf8+ Bxf8 24.Bd5 Rxb2 25.Rf1 which would have been given him a huge advantage.
