Yesterday the final chess class in the spring session of the after school enrichment program, conducted by Enrich and Grow Academy and coached by me and colleague Joe Fortunato, took place at Center Grove School in Randolph.
Of the two dozen students, the advanced half were taught by me in the school library; the beginners half, by Joe in one of the classrooms.
Here are the results of the tournament among my students. Clear first place was won by Tristan Pudell-Spatscheck. A tie for second place occurred between Matthew Park and Trevor Liss, which was broken when Matthew defeated Trevor in a playoff game. All three students received medals.
